There indeed is a deliberate limitation, as we can only get 50 tracks
per request. 1600 would require... 32 requests!
If you were using LMS8 you could import your library into LMS. The
plugin would still have to do 32 requests, but it would only do this at
scan time, not each time you access the playlists. LMS8 would allow you
to import the list as part of your library.
That said: you'd still have increase the default limitation for
playlists in LMS itself in Settings/Advanced/Performance.
