I have this idea of setting up an OpenVPN in my home and an OpenVPN client on my SBT clone running piCore, so that I can take the latter with me on holidays and still have access to my LMS. I don't think this is much of a problem in general, but the open question to me is: how can I configure piCore to use the present network? I need to access it somehow to enter the wifi credentials.
The perfect option would be to be able to configure the connection from within the UI. The second-best option would be to be able to stop the UI (SqueezeLite?) and use some on-screen keyboard to edit the config files, but I don't see that either. The third-best option would be to use my notebook and an ethernet cable, but that doesn't appear to be working, the piCore Pi can't found that case by hostname or IP address.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Edit: another idea would be to plug the SD card from the player and edit some config file on the notebook, but it being a Windows notebook, that doesn't work either. :(
Edit 2: Ext2fsd does seem to do the trick on Windows. So if I now find out how to configure the wifi via editing files, I'll be fine I suppose.
