Squeezelite - No sound via external DAC

Hi,

I have received a Macbook Air (M1) lately and installed LMS server version 8.3.0 -1662271221 as well as the plugins "Local Player" and "Material skin" on it.
Hifi "rig": Mac => Caldigit TS 3+ Dock => Topping D10s => Schiit Jotunheim => Headphones

Current problems I´m facing:

i) If i press the play button the song doesn´t start to play
ii) Album cover is not shown (they are also not shown via "material skin" on my iOS device).

Are these settings correct? Or do I need to change anything (and/or need to install a different squeezelite version)?
