Plugin: Use remote Squeezebox to control/display other squeezebox?

I have a dead SB3 (it works great, just crashes after playing music for a few minutes - why? Dunno... did everything I think possible.. could be a dying capacitor...)

I have a Raspberry PI running Squeezeslave.

Can I join the 2 "squeezeboxes" (without Syncing them - if the SB3 plays music, it'll crash both, pausing the music) in such a way that the SB3 controls the Raspberry PI?

IE: I would like to display the menus of the RPI on the SB3, control the volume of the PI via the remote, etc.

Possible?

The plugin "other players" (http://www.thespicers.net/squeezebox...edirects=0&d=1) looks like it could do some of this, but not all.
