Hi Squeezers,
I am running Squeezelite on Ubuntu on an Udoo Quad with an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC. I built Squeezelite from the latest git sources (grabbed 2015-06-22) with OPTS=-DFFMPEG.
Most of my library is FLAC and it works fine most of the time producing excellent sound quality. However, when I try to play 24bit files it just produces noise; something somewhere in the digital stream is misinterpreting the data and incorrectly reconstructing the samples.
Does anyone know what the problem could be or some steps I could take to diagnose and then rectify the problem? I would really appreciate any help that someone could give.
Note that a separate issue is that when I try to play .mp3 and .m4a files it fails to play them at all -- the play time indicator on the server advances either just sticks at zero or advances a few seconds and then jumps back to zero. This is not really a problem since I only have a few files not in FLAC, but to someone who knows what Squeezelite is doing under the covers it might indicate a problem related to the 24bit FLAC playback problem.
Kind regards,
Stanbey
