I have a persistent problem with Spotify due to the Helper app not running (according to the test under Settings) on an Ubuntu server. Until recently I solved it by doing a manual sudo service logitechmediaserver restart, however this isn't working anymore. I'm using the lastest version 7.9.0 - 1455784650. I've tried
- multiple reboots
- uninstall and reinnstalling
- running older versions (7.8*)
I've also tried to modify the settings in Advanced --> Spotify, however I'm unable to save the changes which is rather peculiar. I've also tried to manually modify /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/Bin/i386-linux/spotifyd.conf which I can do, but the altered settings are not reflected in Settings --> Advanced --> Spotify.
