Local Player on OSX (iMac) not working (squeezelite problem?

I've installed 'Local Player, onto my iMac but no player will install and every time i start the iMac an error is produced as LMS Server starts. The error just says...

"squeezelite-osx quit unexpectedly"

logging in Local Player says...

Nothing showing up in LMS logs either! Seems to be a problem with squeezelite but nothing i can see.

I'm running macOS Sierra bit have had this issue with previous versions of OSX as well.
