I have always tried to run the Default Parameters in PiCorePlayer after being led down the 'Rabbit Hole'
by a few such as SC...... But today when playing a DSD 256 Album via a Rpi Model 4 USB, I noticed when
I started searching All Artists and Album Artists while a DSD 256 Track was playing, I would get a Skipping where the Music Would completely stop, skip and finally resume.....
I figured with the High Bit Rate of 11.2 MHz, I might have a buffer problem.... So, I went into PcP Squeezelite settings for this Player and set it to 20000:60000 (based purely on a Google search, as I have no idea what exactly these parameters mean.) So, this fixed the skipping, buffering problem that I was experiencing. So a few questions...
1.) I have no idea what the buffer parameters actually do.. The documentation in PcP states --- "<stream>:<output>" --- So was my solution correct and what does it actually do? -- Did I pick the right numbers?
2.) Is there a downside to changing the default buffer value? -- If not, should the default be changed to something else?
Just looking for anyone to shed more light on this for me.
