Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but if it is I couldn't find it.
I run Squeezeplug on a Sheevaplug. I have just installed Squeeze Commander and Squeezeplayer on a new Android HTC One Mini. I have setup a static ip and forwarded ports 9000 and 3483 on the Squeezeplug. It works perfectly streaming music to the phone over a local wifi connection but what I would really like to be able to do is connect via a remote wifi or over a mobile data connection. The squeezeplayer app works fine like this, but I cannot get Squeeze Commander to connect to the SqueezeServer. It hangs on "connecting". I know next to nothing about Linux but I'm assuming this is probably a security issue with incoming connections to the Sheevaplug. Anyone able to help?
UPDATE
I have now discovered that I can successfully login to Squeezeserver from a remote location using the web browser, so it would seem to be an issue with Squeeze Commander accessing Sheevaplug remotely.
